Today was pretty chill. I went back to seminary, did my schoolwork, and went for a run. :)

Monday, February 1
Wow, it isn't January anymore. Where has the time gone?
There was a 2 hour delay, so no seminary. I still woke up at 5:45 to get on schedule. The cleaners were coming this morning, so I cleaned my room, washed the dishes, cleaned up the living and dining rooms, and washed the cabinets. After I was done with my chores, I did all my school work. But, I was done by 12, so I was kinda bored all day. I went for a run which was nice, but its really difficult at the same time.
PROS:
-i get in shape
-i have thinking time
-i get in shAPE
-i get sometime to my self
-its good for my body
- i get iN SHAPE
CONS:
-its really hard and stupid sometimes.
I read an interesting article on the First Crusade and how the Templar was sworn with their lives to keep the Church holy. I would like to think I am a modern day Templar. I am a Mormon girl who defends my beliefs, and I love the church. I am so grateful to have been born to goodly parents who taught me the ways of the true gospel. I'm proud to be a modern day Templar.

I went to Church. I came home, and ate homemade pizza. I watched half of Grease Live, a remake of Grease live with Julianne Hough as Sandy and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. It was pretty good, even though Patty Simcox is a bit of a creep. I love the original Grease, and I really liked the remake. Good day. :)

Today, I went to the church 3 separate times.
#1: Babysitting for the Women's Conference.
It was about 2 hours long. There was this really cute baby named Stella who I held onto the whole time. I loved her! She never cried and was so happy and light-weight and adorable and I love her so much! The other kids were also super cute. They all played together, so it was really easy for me and Kate to watch them. Most little kids (2-5) were watching Cinderella in the other room, so we had the bigger boys and girls playing in the nursery. I had a ton of fun.
#2: Basketball
I haven't played basketball in over 2 years, but I went anyways. I had so much fun doing it even though I was pretty bad. haha. Our ward had 10 girls playing, so we switched out at dead balls. Our color is purple, but I didn't know that so I wore a bright blue tee-shirt. Sister Borrowman had a penny I could wear so it was ok. We creamed the other team (Franklin and Chantilly, or Chanklin) 12-32. I can't wait for next week!
#3: Stake Dance
The boys here are wimps. They never asked anyone and I'm the one keeping up the conversation. GAH. I danced with this one guy that was super boring. The theme was Once Upon a Time and there were no decorations. Pretty pathetic. But, as always, I had a great time. I love stake dances :)

Nothing life altering happened today. I did chores all morning, learned how to play a little bit of "The Black Pearl" from Pirates of the Caribbean, and did a program to get hotel points. On an index card, you write your name (in this case my parents), date of birth, phone #, IHG number, email, and conformation code. If you send these in, you can get either 500, 1000, or 5000 points for this hotel group. You can enter up to 94 times. My dad saw this and immediately signed him and Mom up. We had to make 188 index cards. My hand is still cramping. It was worth it though, I'd like to compare IHG to Sheraton and Westin. Later, Mom and Dad went to Ford's Theater to usher a play. I did that once for "A Christmas Carol" and I LOVED it! It was an amazing play and it was fun to usher. I can't wait to do it again soon! While they were at the play, I babysat. I just made dinner, turned on a movie, then put Caroline to bed. She peed her pants, and cried for a solid 20 minutes because she wanted pants but wouldn't let me put any on her. She finally fell asleep when we were snuggling and I was telling her stories. Even though she can be a stinker, I love her.

Today Kate and I went to the mall because my little brothers were taking a science class. I thought I was taking it too, but it turns out it was for little kids. We found the cutest little boutique called "Altard State". It was like stepping into Utah. We found a bunch of modest dresses and shirts, cute jewelry, and a lot of throw pillows with quotes on them. Some of which included "I love you more than biscuits and gravy", "Sisters make the best friends", and "You're the mac to my cheese." It was a fabulous shop. We stopped in Bath and Body Works (our favorite store), Claire's, and Francesca's. The lady working at Francesca's was super desperate to make a sale, and as I walked in, she said, "Darling, red looks BEAUTIFUL on you!" I of course said thank you, but homie. I'm wearing a Star Wars boys medium tee shirt that is too big for me. haha. As we were walking back, we saw a mother ream out her child at top volume. "I am nOT GOING TO BUILD-A-BEAR. DO YOU UNDERSTAND???!!!!" It was awesome and sad at the same time.
At mutual we watched the LDS Face 2 Face with Elder Rasband, Sister Oscarson, and Brother Owen. The youth of the church ask questions, and the leaders give insight and answers. There were questions such as, "I struggle with self worth. How can I see myself as God sees me?", "How can I reach out to a less active family member?", and "How can I distinguish The Spirit from my own thoughts?" I was very touched by these answers and questions. I think my testimony was strengthened because I had questions too and now they were answered. I am so glad I was raised a member of the church.

Scripture Study-
Today I caught up on schoolwork, curled my hair, made 2 heart mobiles, and cooked lettuce wraps. The snow melted considerably, and its making me sad. They already canceled school for Thursday and Friday (called it!)! I'm super excited because I don't have to wake up super early for seminary (5:45 am) until school starts up again which might not be until Tuesday! Don't get me wrong, I love seminary so much, but its nice to sleep in. :) Tomorrow we are supposed to go to a science class at the Mall, so I have that to look forward too. Until tomorrow...
Laman and Lemuel Nephi
-whiny -doer
-not willing to do anything -willing to do anything
-murmured against the Lord - did what the Lord commanded
-did not listen -obeyed his parents
-only listened when something big happened -always did what he was commanded to do
