Nothing life altering happened today. I did chores all morning, learned how to play a little bit of "The Black Pearl" from Pirates of the Caribbean, and did a program to get hotel points. On an index card, you write your name (in this case my parents), date of birth, phone #, IHG number, email, and conformation code. If you send these in, you can get either 500, 1000, or 5000 points for this hotel group. You can enter up to 94 times. My dad saw this and immediately signed him and Mom up. We had to make 188 index cards. My hand is still cramping. It was worth it though, I'd like to compare IHG to Sheraton and Westin. Later, Mom and Dad went to Ford's Theater to usher a play. I did that once for "A Christmas Carol" and I LOVED it! It was an amazing play and it was fun to usher. I can't wait to do it again soon! While they were at the play, I babysat. I just made dinner, turned on a movie, then put Caroline to bed. She peed her pants, and cried for a solid 20 minutes because she wanted pants but wouldn't let me put any on her. She finally fell asleep when we were snuggling and I was telling her stories. Even though she can be a stinker, I love her.

Today Kate and I went to the mall because my little brothers were taking a science class. I thought I was taking it too, but it turns out it was for little kids. We found the cutest little boutique called "Altard State". It was like stepping into Utah. We found a bunch of modest dresses and shirts, cute jewelry, and a lot of throw pillows with quotes on them. Some of which included "I love you more than biscuits and gravy", "Sisters make the best friends", and "You're the mac to my cheese." It was a fabulous shop. We stopped in Bath and Body Works (our favorite store), Claire's, and Francesca's. The lady working at Francesca's was super desperate to make a sale, and as I walked in, she said, "Darling, red looks BEAUTIFUL on you!" I of course said thank you, but homie. I'm wearing a Star Wars boys medium tee shirt that is too big for me. haha. As we were walking back, we saw a mother ream out her child at top volume. "I am nOT GOING TO BUILD-A-BEAR. DO YOU UNDERSTAND???!!!!" It was awesome and sad at the same time.
At mutual we watched the LDS Face 2 Face with Elder Rasband, Sister Oscarson, and Brother Owen. The youth of the church ask questions, and the leaders give insight and answers. There were questions such as, "I struggle with self worth. How can I see myself as God sees me?", "How can I reach out to a less active family member?", and "How can I distinguish The Spirit from my own thoughts?" I was very touched by these answers and questions. I think my testimony was strengthened because I had questions too and now they were answered. I am so glad I was raised a member of the church.

Scripture Study-
Today I caught up on schoolwork, curled my hair, made 2 heart mobiles, and cooked lettuce wraps. The snow melted considerably, and its making me sad. They already canceled school for Thursday and Friday (called it!)! I'm super excited because I don't have to wake up super early for seminary (5:45 am) until school starts up again which might not be until Tuesday! Don't get me wrong, I love seminary so much, but its nice to sleep in. :) Tomorrow we are supposed to go to a science class at the Mall, so I have that to look forward too. Until tomorrow...

This morning we made homemade donuts at the Wests. So delicious. No yeast, no problem. We did 3 toppings: chocolate, glaze, and sprinkles. They were SO good. I loved them. We also had bacon and yogurt and clementines. The bacon was thick cut and great. Before breakfast we watches Return of the Jedi (AWESOME). Tami flew in around 1 am and picked us up at the Wests at 11ish. After I got home, I just wound down. I had been going going going for 5 days straight and was ready for a break. That just about ends the snowmeggedon tale. It was awesome. :)
PS- school was canceled for Wednesday. 20 bucks says its cancelled for the rest of the week.

Happy Birthday Pop! Love you!
Today, the Dizzles went to Nottoway Park to have a massive snowball fight between the young men and the young women. It was a fight for about 30 minutes then we just tackled each other for a hour and a half. It was fun but my feet were FREEZING by the end. Afterwords we had a huge bonfire at my house. We had wassle, cookies, and smores. It was cool because we were freezing because of the snow, but toasty because of the fire. The Goolds, Palmers, Wests, and other random children were there. We spent the night at the Wests because Kate's parents were still out of town. We watched The Empire Strikes Back (YESSSSSS) and went to bed at 1 am. Another great day :)
Sunday, January 24
Today church was cancelled because of Jonas (the super-storm). Kate, Drew, and Jack were still stuck at my house. We played in the snow all day and cleared the drive way. We built snow forts and made a little community. I made 2 houses. The first was a little sleeping bunker I called, "The Snufa". The second looked like an igloo and I named it "Caroline's Corner". Kate had one called "Hogwarts 2.0". The little kids + Drew and Jack built a community at the end of the street. It was 'snow' much fun! Later that night we watches Ferris' Day Off. It was so hilarious! Almost as good as Star Wars. Right before we went to bed, Kate and I took a bunch of Star Wars Quizzes. I got Han Solo on every single one, except for which female character I was. I got Leia. Call me Solo.

It snowed ALL DAY. It accumulated to about 23 inches. I spent my day with the Dizzles (Kate, Drew, Jack and I.). We played in the snow for about an hour, but with the wind, snowfall and the depth of the snow it was too much. We went inside and played games. That night we watched "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". I LOVED IT SO MUCH! I haven't seen it in 10 years and it was GREAT! My dad made us homemade pizza and it was divine. :) Great day over all! They already canceled school for Monday and Tuesday.

The Aftermath of the Snow
Friday, January 22
My best friend Kate Nickerson spent the night because her parents are out of town. It starts snowing around 1 pm. It snowed a bit on Wednesday, and they canceled school on Thursday. The snow was melted by 11 am. Quite possibly the lamest school cancellation in the history of school cancellations. Around 4 pm, they canceled school on Friday. GOOD CALL! It started snowing hard around 2. It just kept pilling higher and higher. Drew, Jack, and Kate were stuck at my house. We played Chopped 3 times. It was so much fun!
Round One: Secret Ingredients were Pasta and Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese
I made Pasta Alfredo with Garlic Bread and apples with a cream sauce. I won.
Round Two: Secret Ingredients were Frosted Mini Wheats, Oranges, and Greek Yogurt.
I made a sauce with marshmallows, browned butter, greek yogurt, and orange juice. Then, I dipped Graham Crackers in the sauce, put it in the mug, then added a Frosted Mini Wheat crunch, then orange whipped cream. I layered it up to the top then added a final dose of whip cream. I lost.
Round Three: Secret Ingredients were Kiwi.
Instead of making applesauce, I made kiwi-sauce. I won.
It was so much fun!
